Historical Population Growth & Resources

-In the Vanilla game, resources are spread pretty evenly and fairly. That's not really historically accurate, so I reworked all resources on the map, allowing those states with important resource deposits to stand out more and countries that lack certain resources to face a real challenge.

-Many resources in Vanilla are handed out based on modern production or known reserves. The philosophy of my mod is to base resources on historical production and explored reserves during the era and shortly after (so roughly from 1800 to 1950), rather than theoretical potential.

-Arable land functions as both a cap on agricultural production and as population capacity. This causes certain issues, so I decoupled agricultural resources from arable land (they are individually capped now) which frees "arable land" to act solely as pop capacity. Arable land for each state is reworked based on real-life population at around 1920.

-Since vanilla is basically just a sandbox, population growth can be very ahistorical. By adding a link to historical population capacity, growth will be closer to real life while still allowing variation based on SoL and other factors.

Changelog:

-All resources (including late game resources) in all states, as well as starting buildings and trade routes reworked.

-Agricultural resources are now also individually capped like other resources.

-"Arable Land" is now used as population capacity only (and reworked for every state). In effect, the game is now aware of historical population numbers and applies modifiers to population growth and migration attraction based on those numbers.

-Replaced default subsistence farms with 13 regional types of subsistence farms that produce varied goods.

-Serfdom in Subsistence Farms now reduces qualifications, while abolished serfdoms gives dividends to peasants.

-Added some new state traits (for iron, coal, rubber, oil, sulfur) and expanded existing ones to more states (now the Nile River trait isn't limited to only 30% of the Nile river), while also rebalancing existing modifier values and addition additional modifiers (for example, adding plantation throughput or livestock throughput to agricultural state traits)

-Migration rebalanced, some migration modifiers reduced in impact

-Changes to malaria: There are now 2 modifiers in all states with prevalent malaria. One is permanent (those states struggle with the effects of malaria even today), the other can be disabled by researching Malaria Prevention. Similar modifiers for the Sahara.

-Korea's and Southern Manchuria's starting population is now more historically accurately distributed

-See individual changelogs on Steam for exact details on what adjustments I made since I released this mod

Known Issues:

-The State Agriculture tab only shows subsistence farms, since agricultural resources are in the Resource tab now.

-Each type of subsistence farm is shown separately in production statistics.

-Incompatible with mods that change states or agriculture building groups. Compatible with Norton's Flavor Mod and Warm Water Ports.

A little bit of an explanation regarding my mod's philosophy, since it keeps coming up:

Resources are based on actual historical production during the game's timeframe (or shortly after), rather than theoretical potential.

An extreme example of this are Afghanistan's iron reserves, which are considerable, but still unexploited to this day. That's why Afghanistan does not have any iron mines in my mod.

Agricultural resources like tea or coffee are also based on historical production, so not every state whose climate is theoretically suitable for production of these resources can actually produce them in my mod.

I am always happy to add more resources to states if provided with sources that show they were produced in significant amounts during the relevant timeframe. I will not add resources based on modern-day production.
