A What If Scenario...

0.3.1.5a "Pestcontrol in the Opera"

English:

Napoleon won in Waterloo but he failed to win his campaign in germany loosing the second battle of Leipzig to a coalition force. France was unable to fulfill the great ambitions of his emperor having bleed dry in the war in Russia and Germany in the years before. Napoleon was dethroned and went to exile on Corsica under the watchful Eye of the Royal Navy.

The congress of Vienna redraw the map of europe, but left Prussia without an reward and France clung to parts of the Rhinecoaliton and parts of italian lands by shere will and inability of the Allies to enforce their will. Austria soon sponsored rebellions in Poland and Ukraine, helped the Swedes defend Finland but failed to recognize the brewing independence movements in its own empire. France was spent and faced an economic downturn for many years to come but saw in Austria its main continental rival. They would face off in Italy in a cold stalemate while the Brits were occupied with themselves and the Russians wer licking ther wounds. Prussia having allways been in a precarious financial situation collapsed upon itself declinging to a second rank german power like Hannover and Bavaria.

The Situation is tumultous as the reign of a new Queen dawns in the British Empire and the conflicts in Europe start to heat up again as the Situation in Galicia, Westphalia and the Balkans start to detoriate at a progressing rate.

German:

The year is 1815, the place is Waterloo, the Prussians didn't come and the British were defeated. This is the starting point for a new campaign by the re-enthroned Emperor Napoleon, but France, the drained and bled nation, no longer has the strength to follow the ambitions of its emperor after the protracted campaign in Russia and the fighting in Europe. So it happens that although he defeats Prussia and occupies Berlin, he hardly receives any supplies due to unrest breaking out in the German lands. At the Second Battle of Leipzig, the emaciated new Grand Army was crushed by Austrian and Russian troops supported by German Freikorps in 1817. The emperor is captured by the Freikorps under Friedrich August von Braunschweig-Wolfenbüttel near Fulda and ultimately transferred to British captivity.

The Peace Congress in Vienna met and established a new world order that did not turn back time to before the revolution but pushed France back to its old borders.

A lot has happened since then: the British constitutional crisis, a national bankruptcy in Prussia, revolts in Eastern Europe and two great powers that are watching each other and staking out their continental spheres of interest.
