DESCRIPTION

Egypt, or as we call it at home, the Mother of the World, has seen an eventful 19th century. From Muhammad Ali's infamous rise to power through to his extended quarrels with the Sublime Porte, along the road to French intrusion and Brtitish incursion, Egypt rose and fell, and rose again. We start in 1836 with Egypt, independent in all but name, at the height of Muhammad Ali's reign. A fragile truce stands between Cairo, Constantinople, and war. Get ready to be immersed in the role of the rebellious Khedive, no, Vali of Egypt, through the historical events of the 19th century!

Mother of the World 1.0.2 is compatible with the latest version 1.4.2. No DLC is required.

Features and Changes from Vanilla

At first release, the first 12 years of your playthrough are scripted through 35+ events and journal entries. Enjoy them, and by all means make your own destiny beyond them, while we work hard to finish the rest. At the moment, you're only meant to play as Egypt, but there are plans to add Egypt-related events to the Ottoman Empire, France, and Great Britain.

Egypt is now a protectorate vassal of the Ottoman Empire, reflecting its high level of autonomy.
Added new portraits for Muhammad Ali and Ibrahim Pasha.
Added historical interest group leaders for Egypt.
Added journal entries for Muhammad Ali's reforms.
Added the 2nd Egyptian-Ottoman war, and the Oriental Crisis.
Added events surrounding Muhammad Ali's fate in 1848.
Added scripted line of succession in Muhammad Ali's Family, until Khedive Ismail.
