DESCRIPTION
This mod is no longer compatible with version 3.8.1 ('Gemini') of Stellaris or other versions greater than 3.7.4
Discard or disable this mod in the game launcher if Stellaris will update to version 3.8.1 or superior.

For Current Stellaris Version: 3.7.* (Compatible with 'Canis Minor'): This Mod is programmed to run in version 3.7.* from Stellaris, any execution on an earlier or later version will probably cause errors.

Leaders get a more equal means of earning ranks through specialization rather than relying on chance.

Scientists are the most specialized. Scientific leaders are divided into research and exploration branches. In research they can choose between the careers of Physics, Sociology or Engineering. In the exploration they can choose the discoverer career. The leaders who still do not have a career can place them in the corresponding departments so that they can start one. Once a leader starts a career he will fully dedicate himself to her and will not venture into other fields. Therefore, the traits in which it could be promoted are those of your own career itself and some occasional generic. Scientists may develop a negative disorder if they work in fields in which they are not competent, for example, as someone with a Physics career transferred to the Sociology area. However, researchers can help with survey and explorers can assist research in your planets, they have no problem with it.

On the other hand, your admirals and generals will go crazy with concern in situations of budget deficit while fighting. And your governors will be quite overwhelmed by the alarming situations with which they have to deal in your planets. If one of your leaders acquires a negative trait, you may not be taking care of him properly or it may be due to an unfortunate event, all negative traits are no longer randomly assigned, behind them there is always a cause.

This Mod has been created for the reason of the change to the Unity to be able to hire leaders. Because of this, leaders are now much more valuable since Unity is much harder to get early on and you can't just recruit madly (without serious thought) like you did before when you only needed Energy (supported by the market). Therefore, the previous random assignment of traits is no longer viable, especially the negative traits (that have also become temporary for 10 years). So thanks to this Mod, now where there is a cause there is an effect.

No features have been removed or added to the original game, only randomness has been partially removed to make it more conditional. The promotion conditions are according to my own preference for my personal enjoyment of the game, but at least I hope that they will be useful for someone else as well, or you can change said conditions to others that you like more, or even extend them since there are only a few like examples.

- There are some archaeological events that do not assign traits properly. These are solved in my other Stellaris Disaster Drawer Mod, since it is beyond what is intended in this Mod.

- This Mod makes an annual search for assigned negative traits due to events and makes them temporary. Any negative trait is eliminated after lasting around 10 years.

Although it is not likely to interfere with your other installed MODs (unless you also modify the trait assignment for leaders), it is recommended to place this Mod as high as possible in your load order.

Please, provide a link to this Mod if you are going to upload it elsewhere or integrate it into your own project and take a look at my other MODs in case any more may

When necessary I translate my MODs to all the official languages of Stellaris [Supported languages currently include Portuguese (braz_por), English (english), French (french), German (german), Polish (polish), Russian (russian), Spanish (spanish), simplified Chinese (simp_chinese), Korean (korean) and Japanese (japanese)].

In commemoration of the ORION update (Stellaris version 3.6.*), to celebrate in a new galaxy liberated from the plague of negative traits that the precursor civilization Vultaum tried to save us from without success.

«... Do you feel stressed every time you check that one of your valuable leaders (the one that cost your sweat and tears hire after a long time accumulating unity) is about to level up? Are you a Modder and have discovered the harsh truth that an evil developer has put all the negative traits at the top of the random_list so that they are the most frequent to be awarded randomly? Are you smiling from ear to ear when you see the notification that your new leader has obtained a trait, but it turns into frustration when you actually see that he is abusing drugs? Worry no more, the solution is within reach of your appendices, just subscribe to the following subroutine and all your promotion problems will be forgotten, have a happy game... well, at least if you don't put a scientist with a physics career to work in the area of sociology, that would cause a disorder for sure... mmmm and the military don't like to promote themselves in a government in situations of deficit... erm... I mean that nothing would be as stressful anymore as assign them a random trait, everything would have a cause and effect, wouldn't that be more encouraging? You can take a bit of advantage if you find out the conditions in which they are promoted or not. Also, even if they get a negative trait it would only be temporary for a decade, that leader would still have salvation...

...If you're still not convinced, know that it's still your duty to fight the plague of negative traits across the galaxy or our beloved Vultaum civilization will ultimately succumb to it as well because of all our Stubborn trait leaders...

... The health authorities warn that this subroutine could cause addiction...»
