DESCRIPTION
Purpose
This small mod fixes behaviour of Strike Craft making it perform adequately.
Changes compared to vanilla:
- Strike craft simultaneously launch forward and tag along with the fleet until the mother ship acquires target. Then they charge to the target. In vanilla they launch sideways and when mother ship acquires a target it takes the craft ages to get into combat zone.
- Turn speed is significantly increased allowing SC to reliably stay on target. In vanilla they often struggle to face the target and therefore can't shoot for prolonged periods of time.
- Movement speed of Amoeba Flagella raised to match level 3 strike craft (in vanilla it's equal to that of level 1 craft).
- Hangar option added for Battleship stern section for more carrier-focused builds.
This mod doesn't make SC overpowered, they are still pretty modest and fall behind plasma/neutron launchers against targets with high HP. But now they are less irritating and are usable should you wish it.
