DESCRIPTION

Stellaris Custodians (Guardians) is pleased to bring you the free update 3.6 "Orion". This update includes a large number of balance changes with the main focus being on advancement and fleet combat. For owners of the Utopia expansion, the Path of Ascension has been changed from two Ascension Perks to a single path that opens up the new Tradition Tree. Synthetic Evolution has also been split into separate Synthetic and Cybernetic Ascension Paths, and hive and machine empires will also have some new options available . With the rebalancing of fleet combat, mixed fleets of many ship sizes will find themselves at an advantage over previous fleets, thus many ship designs exist with stronger counterweights and they will be better able to cover each other's weaknesses. Torpedoes pose a serious threat to large ships, so escorts and destroyers must intercept the destroyers carrying them before they reach your line of gunnery warships. In Ship Design, you can now choose to automatically design ships to fulfill these specific roles. Please see the full patch notes and developer diary for more details. Text-to-speech support has also been added to parts of the game and can be enabled in the Accessibility section of Settings. Check it out and let us know what you think. Thank you for playing Stellaris and enjoy the hunt! --- This update has been greatly improved by many players who joined us during the Open Beta period. Thanks for your feedback and help! Game saves from previous versions may not be compatible with version 3.6. If you want to continue your old save in version 3.5, click on the forum link below and read the topic "How to revert Stellaris to a previous version."
