Shortly after discovering FTL travel, this civilization discovers the remains of an ancient spaceship. Against all odds, they manage to recover and activate it. Revealing a unique spaceship to guard... or expand their territory. But what secrets lie in this strange machine? Where did it come from and who created it? Will using it draw the attention of some greater threat?
Start with an event to recover and activate an ancient immortal warship in your home system.
It might not seem like much at first, but how powerful might it become when it is has fully restored its capabilities?
Experience a side story which runs alongside the main game which culminates with a dramatic finale in which the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance.
Even if the primordial warden is destroyed, it will respawn within a year.
Keep an eye on your situation log if you are unclear on the next steps to progress the storyline.
This origin is only available for empires which are not fanatic purifiers (because they would not trust such an alien warship), are not gestalt consciousness, and are some degree of militarist.
The Primordial Warden is roughly double the strength of a regular ship and does not count against a fleet’s command cap. This means it can be merged into your regular fleets to make a powerful vanguard.
This is a new origin that plays out as a game long series of story events and challenges. While there is nothing preventing it from being used in multiplayer, no more than one person should use this origin. Mod is balanced against Vanilla Stellaris. While I had ideas for implementing several different storylines, each focused one of the ethics, the amount of effort it took to even complete one storyline has dissuaded me from continuing this. (Thanks Scope creep!)
One tip for this origin is that because you are some degree of militarist, you shouldn’t be skimping out on your fleet power. You never know when you might need it to respond to some event.
