Achievement

Achievements are displayed in English both in the game screen on Steam and when entering the game in Ironman mode. This is probably because the Italian language is not an official translation and the text of the achievements is not loaded from the player's local computer.

Troubleshooting

Installation for Mac:

If the translation doesn't work:

(A) disable all mods except translation and launch the game. If it works, activate the other mods one at a time, to see which ones cause problems.

(B) Try moving the Paradox Interactive folder, found in Documents, to another location, for example on the desktop (be careful that there are save files inside) and start EU4 so that the game regenerates it (it is likely that you have to restart the launcher to update it). Once EU4 has started, exit. Subscribe to the translation mod again and activate it in the launcher. If it works, recover the "save game" folder from the desktop folder, possibly the "Screenshots" folder and the continue_game.json, gameplaysettings.txt and settings.txt files.

For those who have problems subscribing to the mod, try checking the item "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for applications that support it" in the general Steam settings (Steam > Settings > Cloud). Check the box "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for Europa Universalis IV", in the game properties under the UPDATES tab.

Note suggested by the user Reach.XV, and dedicated to new users of the translation:

after subscribing to the mod, click on the Play button on the Europa Universalis IV page, a central window opens: the launcher. Then click on the Mods item and enable EU4 Italian Translation Project.
