NOW COMPATIBLE WITH EUROPA EXPANDED!
A simple mod that adds 155+ new monuments to the game, with carefully selected and edited high-quality images. I also organized the files as neatly as possible so you can easily find and modify whichever monument you want. No vanilla files were altered.
Not compatible with Beyond Typus, MEIOU, or any other mod that overhauls the world map in a major capacity. This likely includes mods like Pax Solis and Victorum Universalis as well.
Q: Okay, but is my computer going to explode if I use this alongside major overhauls?
A: Maybe not, but some of the monuments would be in the wrong location. I tested BT personally, and the game wouldn't launch with my mod enabled.
Q: Ante Bellum?
A: Doesn't make much sense since the alt history scenario is so different. No compatibility, sorry.
Q: This or that monument is over/underpowered!
A: No worries, I'm open to changing almost anything - especially if you provide an argument as to why it should be changed. Things like historical usage, game balance etc. will all be taken into consideration. I plan to actively develop this mod and listen to feedback as much as possible. Please leave your thoughts and recommendations in the comments!
Q: I'm not fond of X monument's artwork.
A: It's hard to find good artwork for some of these, you'd be amazed at the lengths I had to go through to make them. Half of these are actually real life photographs that I "cartoonified" through photoshop to resemble Paradox Tinto's artstyle. I believe this is what sets my mod apart from the others.
Q: Why are there so few Ottoman monuments yet so many Byzantine ones? Are you a byzaboo?
A: Well, first of all I'm Greek, so I'm a byzaboo by default. Secondly, the Ottomans weren't fond of expensive structures and instead preferred spending their wealth on bigger armies and urban expansion. I'm looking into adding more monuments for them, but keep in mind there aren't many examples to choose from. And lastly, you have to consider that they are easily the strongest nation in the game, thereby giving them more usable monuments would lead to gameplay imbalance - which is not my intention with this mod.
Q: Have you changed the vanilla monuments at all?
A: I was thinking about it for a while, but ultimately decided against it. They may be badly balanced, but the amount of work on my end would simply not be worth it. Keep in mind that Paradox occasionally reworks/rebalances their monuments, so they may end up fixing some of the more egregious ones in the future.

Version 1.15 • Removed Yucundaa as it hadn't really turned out the way I wanted. • Changed every Mesoamerican monument to require a pre-colonial mesoamerican culture group as the primary culture. They were too abusable prior to this change. • Made Byzantine monuments accessible to the Roman culture group. • Removed military_tactics entirely, as it was too broken. I replaced all instances of it with regular ol' discipline. • Monteriggioni is now limited to Tuscan culture. • Nerfed House of the Eagle Warriors.
