EXTENDED CULTURE THE MOD IS COMPATIBLE 1.7.2! Disclaimer - Some screenshots may be out of date for initial publication, please be patient with us as we make updates. Expanded Culture is a map-spanning project that aims to expand the cultural variety, decisions, events, traditions, and many other elements of culture in order to create a more meaningful gaming experience. We, the Extended mod team, always wanted to have a mod that dove deeper into the cultural aspects and regions of the game; We augmented them visually with Ethnicities and Extended Portraits, but that wasn't enough to bring appropriate flavor to some, if not most. Even more, to bring the appropriate historical presence of culture to certain regions, in most cases lacking important cultural distinctions, we would need to dig deep into a cultural project. So, the team embarked on a collaborative project to increase the playability, historicity, and game balance of cultural regions on the map. FEATURES A big expansion of crops available in both 867 and 1066 done by our team and other data by RICE and Africa Plus! Varied list of new decisions that leaders can make to unite their people, create historic titles and much more. Lots of new traditions and innovations that flavor certain regions with new cultural men-at-arms! Shire Culture and Religious Spread have been changed to better reflect the starting positions of both on each start date. Modifications to existing cultures to better reflect their cultural traditions. Incorporation and modification of the CCU Language mod from CMH! Cooperation and compatibility (Work in Progress) with projects like RICE! Expanded name lists for new and vanilla crops (WIP)! And much more to come in future updates! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why is EPE mandatory? In order to allow appropriate ethnic patterns to emerge and accommodate EPE, we need EPE as a requirement. There is a standalone version for users who do not use EPE in the links section below. Why doesn't culture "X" have the traditions it should have? Our team is dedicated to doing proper research on all cultures and if things may seem off to you, respectfully provide feedback on our Discord. We will not listen to the rants posted in the comments. So what does this mod do again? This adds more cultures, lore, decisions and more to the game. Is this mod compatible with achievements? No Why is culture “X” not present on the map!? This mod is a work in progress and everything is subject to change and improvement in the future. Some cultures once present on the map now appear dynamically or by decision. Bosnian, for example, emerged dynamically as a culture after the establishment of the Kingdom of Bosnia. Are you going to make things better?! Future updates will focus on each region of the map and add even more content to the game.
