DESCRIPTION

Here's another of my little mods, this one to make Crusades a slightly less awful experience in a game that is literally named after them! This mod makes the following changes to Great Holy Wars: -GHWs now require a minimum number of 6 counties held by a ruler of hostile enough faith within the target kingdom. -Crusader Kingdoms now apply the Locals Pacified modifier for 10 years to avoid immediate peasant/populist revolts, -GHW cooldown is now 25 years (but can be skipped at max Fervor). In vanilla it is 5 (why?) -Defenders now gain more war score from battles and faster ticking warscore (since imprisonment and capital occupation don't count for GHWs, and counter-occupation is usually unrealistic, but they need SOME way to eventually win the war). I'm open to scaling these factors higher, but I haven't had time to test them at their current levels yet, so please feel free to provide feedback. Compatibility notes: -Obviously this mod is not compatible with achievements. -This mod overrides the undirected_great_holy_war and directed_great_holy_war CBs, the scripted trigger "valid_ghw_target_trigger", the scripted effect "determine_ghw_target_effect", and the setup event "great_holy_war.0001". It will not be compatible with anything that affects any of these, or overwrites the vanilla files that they are in. In particular, it is not compatible with Dieu et Mon Droit's changes to the fervor effects of GHWs, and whichever one you load last will be the one that takes effect. -This mod uses selective overrides, so it should be compatible with anything that doesn't affect any of the above. -In particular, it is compatible with all my other CK3 mods. They will always remain separate, because I was a coder on the dev team for four years and this has left me with a violent allergic reaction to the phrase "overhaul mod".
