Rulers should learn as they rule. What this mod does: - Adds a 10 year decision which allows you to learn anywhere from 1 to 3 points in any of the base skills. * Martial, Diplomacy, Stewardship, Intrigue, Learning, or Prowess - This will cost either prestige, gold, piety, or even nothing! * Your chances of earning more skill are lower if you spend little or even less when you spend nothing. * You are guaranteed at least one point! - Chances: -=Any resource type=- * Low Cost Option: 67% 1 point, 22% 2 points, 11% 3 points * Medium Cost Option: 17% 1 point, 67% 2 points, 16% 3 points (Usually the most economical) * High Cost Option: 11% 1 point, 22% 2 points, 67% 3 points -=No Cost=- * 80% 1 point, 15% 2 points, 5% 3 points - Optionally: Should you use prestige to have someone train you and none of your courtiers are up to the task, you may get the option to recruit an exceptional character to your court. * Exceptional character recruitment can be quite pricey! ============================= How the AI uses this: - Only adult, landed or knight characters can do this - Every 2 months the AI has a 50% chance to do this IF they are available for activities in the same way as feasts * Not part of an army, at a party, on a pilgrimage, imprisoned, etc. - If the character holds a council position or is a knight, they are 25% more likely to do so - They will pick a skill to improve randomly *If they hold a position they are about 66% likely to choose the related skill - Most of the time they will choose to pay nothing and gain little * If they have a lot of resources to spend, they are more likely to choose to do so - If spending resources, they are unlikely to spend everything and try to keep a buffer available - AI will never recruit a character
