A revision of CaptinObvious's "De Re Publica: A basic Cursus Honorum" (found here:  with substantial optimisations: - every_character is only called once, and only when the game starts or when a player country changes to aristocratic republic) - governors are removed instantly if ineligible, so the loyalty penalty is unnecessary - characters receive their modifiers upon taking the title instead of on the monthly pulse Unrelated and more of a taste thing, I also toned down the extremely high maluses to prominence on Quaestors and Civilians, since popularity and statesmanship are the only only stats that factor into an individual's electability. Civilians are basically incapable of being elected anyway since they aren't eligible for office, which hits succession score really hard. I also haven't included the decision reducing election duration- there's a law for that, anyway. Other than the above, it all still works the same.
